Though Lacombe, Alberta, is a small town that is a few hours from Edmonton and Calgary, it is close to some of the province's best hiking, skiing and fishing areas. The town is about 40 miles from the Canyon Ski Area in Red Deer, Alberta. It is also 10 minutes from Gull Lake and the Aspen Beach Provincial Park. The Lacombe Motor Inn has rates for visitors on a budget. Its 44 deluxe rooms come with either single queen or double twin extra long beds. A handful of rooms have small kitchenettes, with stoves and sinks, designed for those who are staying at the hotel for long periods.. Country Club Inn

The Country Club Inn is directly across from the Lacombe Golf and Country Club, which has an 18-hole golf course with spectacular scenery. The rooms in the hotel are divided into three types: single bed, private single split and double bed Each room comes with separate living and dining areas, a pullout sofa, cable television, free wireless Internet and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and sink . Unlike the other rooms, the private single split room has a partition between its sleeping and living areas. For light meals or drinks, the hotel has a lounge with a patio. As all rooms are on the main floor, there is free parking for guests right outside their doors. Guests who want to get a few rounds of golf in during their stay can ask about available golf package deals.
