The Hermitage Hotel
The Hermitage Hotel is located in downtown Nashville and was commissioned to be built by local residents in 1908. On the site that once housed Andrew Jackson and completed in 1910, builders used, according to the hotel, "Italian sienna marble in the entrance; wall panels of Russian walnut; a cut, stained glass ceiling in the vaulted lobby; Persian rugs; and massive, overstuffed furniture."
