Lefteris Gyro
Lefteris Gyro specializes in authentic Greek cuisine. Voted "Best Greek Restaurant" for two consecutive years by Westchester Magazine, the restaurant offers an extensive menu of Greek favorites at bargain prices. Start with a choice from the lengthy list of appetizers including mambaildi (stewed eggplants with zucchini), spanakopita (spinach pie), saganaki (cheese flambe) and dolmades (stuffed grape leaves). Choose from several types of hot sandwiches, gyros and platters for the main course. Finish with one of several Greek deserts such as kataifi, baklava or homemade Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts. If you can't get enough of the dressing from your Greek salad, purchase a pint or quart of the restaurant's special dressing to enjoy at home. As of early 2010, the average entree price was around $12.50.
