Old Hotels in Riga, Latvia
The capital and largest city in Latvia, Riga is one of the most important cultural and commercial centers in the Baltic region. UNESCO has declared the city's historic center a World Heritage Site, and archeological excavations there have shown evidence of settlements by ancient local tribes, trading posts established in the 11th century, German stone building, Finnish art nouveau, and heavy influence from the Christian church.
