The Sugar House Motel is a simple roadside motel with various types of rooms including smoking, non-smoking and pet-friendly. All rooms have air conditioning, individually controlled heat, satellite television, in-room phones, refrigerators and microwave. Hotel amenities include free wireless Internet and nightly camp fires. There are many nearby hiking and biking trails. Otter Creek Cruise Trail and Champlain Valley Cruise trail provide about 90 miles of riding between them and are only about three miles from the motel. As of 2010, a one-bedroom room during weekdays between November 1 and April 30 was $59, and $79 between May 1 and October 31.

Crossroads Bed and Breakfast

The Crossroads is a historic farmhouse with six cozy rooms available. One room has its own half bath, while the other five share two full baths. Amenities include a large guest area where you can watch television, wireless Internet service, a covered porch and a six-hole chip and putt golf course. As of January 2010 room rates ranged from $85 to $130. The Crossroads is seven miles from Middlebury, with its three bike trails, hiking trails and paddling on Otter Creek. Hikers are also able to easily reach dozens of hiking trails in the Green Mountain National Forest, which are all within a 30- or 40-minute drive from the Crossroads.

1796 House at Roland's Place Bed and Breakfast

The 1796 House at Roland's Place is a historic home offering three rooms each with a private bath and air conditioning. Two of the rooms have fireplaces, and one room has a whirlpool tub for two. Television, phone, games and books are available in the living room. There is also an on-site restaurant. The bed and breakfast has a 35-by-80-foot deck available for weddings. As of January 2010 the rooms ranged from $95 to $115. Roland's Place is only a six-mile drive from Middlebury's outdoor activities.
