Spanning 46,500 acres, Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, situated at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeastern Oklahoma, has 1,300 miles of shoreline, according to the City of Grove, offering numerous opportunities for fishing, water skiing, sailing, swimming and other activities. Red Rock Resort

Red Rock Resort offers six cabins on Grand Lake with fully-equipped kitchens. Two lakefront cabins are duplex-style with one bedroom and one bath and a sofa bed in the living room. Another one-bedroom cabin is situated about 40 yards from the lake. A two-bedroom, lakefront cabin has one bath and sleeps six. One lakefront three-bedroom, two-bath cabin with two sleeper sofas in the living room sleeps up to 10 people. It also has a fireplace. Housebroken dogs and cats are permitted with an additional $5 fee per pet, per night, according to owner Mike Smith. Rates start at $75 (as of January 2010).

Blue Bluff Harbor Resort

Fish from a heated dock near your cabin at the 23-acre Blue Bluff Harbor Resort, then cook your catch of the day on a charcoal grill. Cabins here also have fully-equipped kitchenettes and are air-conditioned. Towels and linens are provided. There is one cabin that sleeps a maximum of three, two that sleep four, one that sleeps six and one that sleeps eight. Two mobile homes are also available that sleep eight. A boat launch is also on site. Boat slips are available for an additional fee. Pets are permitted. Rates start at $75 (as of January 2010).

Lee's Grand Lake Resort

Watch the sunset over Grand Lake at one of the 14 small cabins available at Lee's Grand Lake Resort. All cabins have heat and air, fully-equipped kitchens, TVs and DVD players, gas barbecue grills and front porches. One bedroom units have screened porches and sleeping lofts. Linens are provided. Amenities include free wireless Internet, a swimming pool, and recreation area with basketball, shuffle board, horseshoes, tether ball and playground for children. A marina, laundry facility and mini mart are also on site. No smoking is permitted in cabins. Non-aggressive dogs and cats under 30 pounds are permitted with an additional $10 per pet, per day fee. A $100 refundable pet deposit is also required. Rates start at $74 (as of January 2010).
