Convent is a small Louisiana town located on the Mississippi River. It provides easy access to boating and fishing on the river, as well as swamp tours in Thibadaux. In Gonzales, which is about a 25 minute drive from Convent, visitors can enjoy a round of golf at the Pelican Point Golf Club, which features a 250 acre course on land that was once a sugar cane farm. There are several hotels in the surrounding area.
