Hotels Near Glastonbury, CT
With a private lake called Diamond Lake, it's no wonder that Glastonbury is one of the wealthiest communities in Connecticut. Nestled along the banks of the Connecticut River, the town is a suburb of Hartford, with hillsides dotted with estates and large homes. Still, the area has its simple charms, such as the Apple Harvest Festival in October. Nearby Kongscut Mountain offers hikes. Don't be put off by the name of Rattlesnake Mountain; timber rattlesnakes are few and don't pose any threat. Glastonbury has two golf courses, one public and the other private. Several more public courses are just a few miles away, and there are hotels in town and nearby.
