Entree are meant to be shared, family-style: local favorites include the pork scaloppini piccata and veal parmigiana. Tutto a Modo Mio

For almost 30 years, the Venetian owners Clemenza and Ernesto of Tutto a Modo Mio have been serving authentic Italian fare. With its attentive staff, made-in-house pastas and kid-friendly atmosphere, this elegant, cozy establishment is perfect for family dinners as well as special occasions. The menu is expansive yet focused; whether you choose the bowtie pasta with caviar and salmon or veal parmigiana, Tutto a Modo Mio is that rare gem that does a number of dishes well. The restaurant's broiled T-bone and other cuts rival those found in steakhouses. And every meal ends with homemade grappa, presented on the house. Although Tutto a Modo Mio is BYOB, no corkage fee is charged.

Circle Pizza serves up thin-crust pies at affordable prices. Limited to about a dozen tables, this classic pizza parlor becomes crowded during lunchtime (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) when you can take advantage of specials like a ham and cheese calzone or a baked ziti, both of which come with a soda.
