Highlands Hammock State Park
Hiking along elevated boardwalks through forests of cypress trees is just one of the draws for visitors to Highlands Hammock State Park. In addition to the miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, the park offers a Saturday evening campfire circle and guided tours of areas within the park. Part of the Florida Great Birding Trail, birders will appreciate the number of wading birds as well as wild turkeys, ospreys, and variety of woodpeckers that can be found within the park. Water and electric hook-ups for are available for RV camping as well as pop-up and tent camping.

Situated among the many lakes that dot the landscape between the towns of Avon Park and Sebring, the cozy community of Lake Letta RV Park north of Sebring offers full hook-up sites for visitors looking for a refuge for the day, week, month or even year. The small atmosphere and tendency for guests to take up longer residency allows people to become well-acquainted with their neighbors.
