Mayflower, Ark., is the nearest access point for the Bell Slough Nature Trail, a popular birdwatching spot, as well as two small lakes---Lake Conway and Grassy Lake. Tourists drop by for seasonal duck hunting, fishing and hiking. Mayflower is so small (just 2,200 people in 2010) that it doesn't have its own lodging; however, it's only 11 miles from Conway, nine miles from Maumelle, and 20 miles from Little Rock.
