Calico Rock is a quaint town on the White River in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. There are historic buildings in town and the beauty of water, mountains and forests all around. While in Calico Rock you can spend time on the water of the White River or stroll through the Ozark National Forest. There are cabins to rent which will put you right in the middle of nature with trees, lakes and wildlife at your feet when you step out the door.

White River Get-Away Cabin

White River Get-Away Cabin is just two years old and has all the comforts of home. Located on the White River, the cabin has air conditioning and heat, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, satellite TV, washer and dryer, gas BBQ grill, front and back deck, and linens are provide. The woods around your cabin are perfect for exploring and keeping an eye out for Eagles flying above. You are also close to the Ozark National Forest. There you can bird watch, hike or go mountain biking on the Syllamo Mountain Biking Trails, which was been named an Epic Ride by the International Mountain Biking Association.

The Cedars Cabins & Lodging

The Cedars Cabins & Lodging has two cabins. One is a two-story cabin with a kitchen, furniture, patio and charcoal grill. The other cabin is a larger two-story which comes with 10 beds, four grills, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a washer and dryer, and a porch. When not enjoying the White River you can venture over to the Ozark National Forest where you will find the Blanchard Springs Caverns. Three tours are offered there. The Dripstone National Recreational Trail tour will take you 200 feet into the earth to see stalagmites. If you take the Discover National Recreational Trail tour you will see the campsites of early explorers, an underground stream and the Giant Flowstone. Take the Wild Cave Tour and be prepared for a work out. You will have to crawl on your hands and knees, and climb steep slopes on this tour which takes you through undeveloped areas of the Blanchard Springs Caverns. You will also learn about spelunking.

Calico Bluff Cabins

Calico Bluff Cabins sit on a bluff with a view of the White River. Cabins have a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove, furniture, fireplace, air conditioning, wrap around deck, and sleep up to eight people. Your cabin is in a great location to enjoy the White River. You can fish, swim, boat, canoe or kayak. You can also sit back and enjoy the view which might include seeing Eagles. The woods are all around you to explore and you are minutes from the Ozark National Forest where you can hike and mountain bike, keeping an eye out for local wildlife.
