Mekong Thai Cuisine
Mekong Thai Cuisine is a sit-down restaurant that also offers pickup service. Though it is not a large restaurant (about 10 tables are separated by dividers and eight tables are situated in the middle of the floor), it is intimate. Lots of plants, red curtains and brightly colored art add warmth. Appetizers include spring rolls and yum talay (shrimp, squid and scallops in lime vinaigrette). Salads and soups, including tom yum kai, are available. Entrees are divided into noodle, curry, beef, poultry, pork, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Coffee, tea, soda, beer and wine are available.

Thai Orchid
The Thai Orchid is a small restaurant with only nine tables in the heart of downtown Anchorage's Taku/Campbell neighborhood. The restaurant offers lots of lunch specials in addition to their regular menu. Appetizers range from mee krop (crispy noodles with shrimp and chicken) to Thai toast. Lunch specials include gaeng kiow wahn (chicken or beef with green curry paste). Soups, salads, noodle dishes, rice plates, seafood dishes, vegetarians and lots of side dishes fill the menu. Take-out orders are accepted.

Founded in 1986, the Thai Kitchen offers home-style Thai cooking with a no-apologies, low-budget atmosphere. Dotting the tables are metal cups and pitchers, tempered by colorful fresh flowers. Thai Kitchen offers express lunches during the week, including pad Thai vegetable, spicy curry pork and shu shee tofu. Appetizers run from basil noodle wrap to yum nua (beef salad). Many Thai soups are available, as well as curry and noodle, fried rice, vegetarian, beef, pork, chicken, duck and seafood dishes. Thai Kitchen offers a children's menu.
