Houston is the largest city in Texas, and a great place for numerous outdoor activities. You can play golf at courses including Black Horse or Augusta Pines. Buffalo Bayou Park has hiking and biking trails and exercise stations. At Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, you can go canoeing and observe wildlife. Being the largest city in Texas, Houston also has plenty of shopping, nightlife, sightseeing and restaurants.

Vincent's offers regional Italian cuisine, including appetizers, soups and salads, pizza from a wood-burning pizza oven, pastas and entrees. Choices include calamari fritti, toasted ravioli, bruschetta, roasted chicken salad, penne alla vodka, cannelloni, chicken scallopine and lamb or veal chops. The house specialty is spit-roasted lemon and garlic chicken. Vincent's also has an outdoor dining area and two private rooms and a semi-private area in the main dining room for private parties.

Maggiano's Little Italy

Maggiano's Little Italy, part of a national chain, has dinner, lunch and dessert menus. The lunch menu consists of appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, main course salads, Little Italy favorites, pastas, baked specialties, meat and seafood entrees, and soups of the day. The dinner menu adds seafood, veal, steaks, chicken and pork entrees and sides. Family-style lunch and dinner and kids' menus are also available. There are banquet facilities for large parties.

La Strada

La Strada is known for its creative Italian dishes, bellinis, Sunday brunch and homemade desserts. Offerings include New Zealand green lip mussels, walnut crusted baked brie, lobster bisque, Angus steak salad, margherita panini, pan-seared breast of chicken, shrimp parmesan, chef's meatloaf and jalapeno fettuccine. The dessert menu includes strawberry cream cake, crème brulee, assorted gelatos and sorbettos and vanilla-maple bread pudding. La Strada has an outdoor dining area for up to 100 guests, a take-out and wine menu, delivers lunch and offers catering services. Sunday brunch is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday brunch is from noon to 4 p.m.
