Augie's Numero #1 Restaurant & Pizza is a casual Italian eatery that sits in a Danbury strip mall. Augie's features a family-friendly atmosphere and a spacious dining room that is decorated in bold whites and reds. The restaurant offers diners a selection of pizzas, calzones, grinders and baked pasta. Menu favorites include baked stuffed shells, deep fried calzones and lasagna pizza. The restaurant offers a number of specials. Both eat-in and take-out are available. Patrons can order take-out by either calling the restaurant or using the online ordering system. Carry-out catering trays are available for those hosting large, off-site events. Augie's serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Castello Restaurant

Castello Restaurant offers traditional Italian flavors to diners in Danbury. The restaurant, which sits in a stand-alone, full-brick building, offers an array of dining spaces, all of which feature neutral, pastel wall colors and tables adorned with white tablecloths. The restaurant also offers an on-site bar that is decorated in bold orange hues accented by dark wood tones. Two private dining rooms are available. Menu favorites include the Cappellini Castello pasta, which consists of angel hair pasta with shrimp and hot red peppers in homemade marinara sauce, and pizza fungi, which is made with basil pesto, mushrooms and red onions. A small selection of by-the-glass wines and an extensive offering of by-the-bottle wines are available to diners. A reserve list is also available, which features an assortment of specialty Italian, French and Spanish wines. Castello offers lunch and dinner service seven days a week.

Cafe on the Green offers fine Italian dining in a rural setting. The restaurant sits adjacent to the Richter Park Golf Course and offers views of the fairways. This restaurant and banquet facility offers lunch and dinner seven days a week. The restaurant specializes in Northern Italian cuisine and offers classic dishes including pollo alla campagnola and chicken, sausage and potatoes in garlic lemon sauce as well as scaloppine di vitello saltimbocca, which consists of veal mixed with artichokes, mushrooms and peas in a light plum tomato sauce. Classic Italian desserts such as tiramisu and crème burllee are also available. The house wine list includes an extensive selection of by-the-bottle or by-the-glass wines. A preplanned catering menu is available for on-site events. Brunch is offered on select Sunday mornings. Reservations are accepted and can be made by calling the restaurant.
