Tourists can visit Wharton State Forest located near Wharton in Hammonton, New Jersey, which offers activities like swimming, boating and canoeing in season. Camping facilities for tents and trailers is available. Trails in the forest are used for hiking, cross-country skiing and mountain biking.

Hot Rods Real Pit Barbecue features traditional American barbecue celebrating comfort food, cars and fun. The restaurant is known for smoked pulled pork and baby back barbecue ribs. The 60-seat dining room has a full-service bar. Guests can order spicy appetizers, soup and salads, wraps, hamburgers, pork and chicken sandwiches served with a choice of side. Dinners of ribs, chicken and seafood are served with coleslaw and one side. Entrees include manifold meatloaf, jambalaya, St. Louis ribs, baby back ribs, chicken and grilled fish. A selection of side dishes includes mac and cheese, potato salad, red beans and rice, sweet potato fries and baked beans. A limited children's menu is available. A good selection of wine, beer and drinks is available. There is entertainment and dancing on Friday and Saturday.

New Orleans Steak House

The New Orleans Steak House is open for lunch and dinner. It has a comfortable yet elegant atmosphere. The lunch menu includes appetizers and soups. Special salads include Cajun selections from New Orleans and the French Quarter with sliced blackened chicken, Oriental salad and gorgonzola salad. A wide variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and wraps are served on whole wheat. Dinners are served with potato, rice and vegetable. Guests can choose from rib eye steak, prime rib, jambalaya, fresh seafood, London broil, filet mignon, chicken parmesan, barbecued ribs, lobster tails, coconut shrimp, fish stews and pasta. Brunch is served on Sundays. The bar has a selection of wine, beer and drinks.

Scerbo's Italian Restaurant has a lunch and dinner menu with appetizers like fried calamari and scampi bruschetta. The raw bar features oysters and shrimp. The menu has salads, soup, New York style pizza and specialty pizzas. There is a variety of sandwiches, heroes, wraps, pasta and eggplant dishes to choose from.
