Chattanooga is located in the southeastern part of Tennessee on the Chickamauga Lake and Lake NIckajack, both part of the Tennessee River. With a population of 155,554, it is the fourth-largest city in Tennessee. Chattanooga is nestled among mountains and ridges and has been nicknamed the "Scenic City." It is popular with tourists due to attractions such as the Tennessee Aquarium, the Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park and several water attractions along the Tennessee River. There are also a number of campgrounds that offer several varieties of cabins for rent.

Raccoon Mountain

Raccoon Mountain is in the heart of Chattanooga. The campgrounds offer visitors their choice of RV hookups, tent sites and four camping cabins ranging from a rustic four-person cabin with no indoor plumbing to more luxurious cabins with air-conditioning, televisions and full bathrooms. Although none of the cabins have full kitchens, they do have refrigerators, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Raccoon Mountain features a variety of activities such as cave exploration, gold panning and go-karts. The facility offers a clean bathhouse with private showers, an outdoor swimming pool, a basketball court, a children's playground, a game room, free wireless Internet and trails for hiking.
