Selah, often called the "Gateway to the Yakima River Canyon," is located just outside Yakima in central Washington. Home to approximately 6,700 residents, it covers four square miles. Its 10 city parks include 16.5-acre Carlon Park, 10-acre McGonagle Park, and Playland Riverside Park with riverside walking trails and picnic areas. Access to the Yakima Greenway, a 10-mile walking and biking path, is available at Harlan Landing in Selah.

North Park Lodge

North Park Lodge offers 54 rooms and luxury suites located near Carlon Park and downtown Selah.
Rooms are equipped with kitchenettes including sink, refrigerator and microwave, flat screen televisions, and free Internet access, while suites feature jetted tubs, and two overstuffed chairs. Hotel amenities include complimentary continental breakfast, gift shop, pool, spa, tanning booth, game room, laundry facilities, and an in-house lounge open at 4:00 p.m. daily. Pet-friendly rooms are available. 10 restaurants are located within a mile of North Park Lodge, including teriyaki, Mexican and American fare.

Wine Country Inn

The Wine Country Inn, named for the Yakima area's many flourishing wineries, offers three wine-themed rooms: the Sangiovese, the Chardonnay, and the Merlot. A gourmet breakfast is served each morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and rooms include private bathrooms and bathrobes. The Sangiovese suite features a private entrance, balcony, king size bed, and jetted bathtub. Wine Country Inn amenities include a tour of the 10-acre grounds, including a barn, two-acre ponds, apple trees, a creek, helicopter pad and boat parking. In addition to breakfast, an afternoon snack of cookies and apples is served. Children and pets are not allowed at the inn, at the time of writing.

Red Lion Hotel Yakima Center

Yakima, located four miles south of Selah, offers many accommodations such as the Red Lion Hotel Yakima Center. The Red Lion features 156 guest rooms and suites with free wireless access, two outdoor pools, 24-hour fitness center, a business center, and lounge open nightly at 4:00 p.m., with dinner available. Pets are allowed with a $20 fee per visit. A breakfast buffet is available for $4.95 per guest and many restaurants are located near the Red Lion, including a steakhouse, brewpub, and Italian and Mexican cuisine.
