Treasure Island is a barrier island in the Tampa Bay area, famous for its wide, white sand beaches. This beach-front community sits North of St. Petersburg and south of Madeira Beach, with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Boca Ciega Bay to the east. The island offers a variety of water sports including boating, fishing and parasailing, and Sunset Beach, on the south end of the island, features a paved beach-side walking path.

Bilmar Beach Resort

The Bilmar Beach Resort features a beach-front location offering studios, efficiencies, suites and penthouses. Rooms facing the gulf offer direct views of Treasure Island Beach, and all units come with a kitchen or kitchenette. The resort has two heated pools and a whirlpool, as well as an on-site fitness center and mile long fitness trail along the beach.

The Bilmar provides on-site opportunities for dining and drinking at Sloppy Joe's on the Beach and Bazzie's Beach Bar. John's Pass Village is less than two miles away, offering opportunities for shopping and dining. Other area activities include bike rentals, boat and jet ski rentals, parasailing and deep sea fishing excursions.

Island Inn Beach Resort

The Island Inn Beach Resort boasts views of both the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay, although nearly all of the rooms at the Island Inn face Treasure Island Beach. The resort offers standard gulf-front rooms with double or king beds, efficiency rooms facing the bay, and suites with two or three bedrooms. All units come with a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, stove-top and coffee maker, and most feature a private balcony with a view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach.

This hotel sits near the middle of Treasure Island and features some of the widest white sand beaches in the area. The central location provides easy access to local activities like boat cruises, jet skiing and shopping. Deep-sea fishing launches are within minutes of the property, as are boat rentals and parasailing options.

Oasis Palms Resort

The Oasis Palms Resort sits directly across Gulf Boulevard from the wide beaches at the northern end of Treasure Island. The resort features efficiencies, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, most equipped with a full kitchen. The property has an on-site pool as well as a picnic area with barbecue grills and an ice-cream shop and mini-mart for picking up supplies.

This hotel is a short walk across the street to the beach, and there is a boat launch two blocks away. There are more than 70 restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel at John's Pass Village. Treasure Island also offers opportunities for walking or jogging, renting boats or jet skis, parasailing and dolphin watching tours.
