Restaurants Near Chicago's Midway Airport
Midway Airport is one of two airports in Chicago, Illinois. Whether you're coming to the area for hiking, boating, or skiing, you may need to fuel up as you enter or exit the city. Midway Airport is surrounded by several restaurants which offer a great sampling of Chicagoans' favorite foods, including deep-dish pizza and Polish sausage.

Lalo's Mexican Restaurant

This restaurant is conveniently located in Midway Airport. Traditional fare like tamales with green tomatillo sauce and nachos with beans, guacamole and pico de gallo are available as appetizers. Entree dishes include spinach and tomato enchiladas, rib eye steak with spicy chile de arbol sauce and chicken breast with poblano peppers. Counter service makes dining fast and convenient for airport travelers.

Giordano's Pizzeria

Located near the southeast corner of the airport, Giordano's has been serving classic Chicago-style pizza since 1974. While the deep-dish stuffed pizza with loads of tomato sauce is the big seller here, there are also thin pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and salads--often with an Italian twist--to choose from. Dishes include a chicken parmesan sandwich, baked mostaccioli and caprese salad. Several appetizers complement the entrees well, including cheese garlic tomato bread and breaded mushrooms.

Bobak Sausage Company

Bobak's was founded in Chicago in 1967. This meat-specialty store also offers a hot-foods section where diners can pick up a delicious meal. The Polish sausage is their claim to fame, but other popular items include potato pancakes and dumplings. A bakery also offers many traditional items like paczkis. The retail store offers a butcher-shop meat counter and specialty imports if you want to buy some items for the road.

Villa Rosa Pizza & Restaurant

Villa Rosa is just two blocks north of the airport, and it offers Italian cuisine at affordable prices. This family-owned and operated restaurant opened in 1984. Dine-in or carry-out items include thin-crust, stuffed, or deep-dish pizza, a range of sandwiches and pastas, and chicken, veal, rib or seafood dinners. A pan-baked trout dinner comes with potato, bread and coleslaw, or there's a veal scaloppini with spaghetti. Daily specials are available throughout the week, including an all-you-can-eat spaghetti or mostaccioli on Wednesdays.
