Outdoor activities are available at the Melton Hill Dam Recreation Area, Tellico Dam Recreation Area, Hickory Creek Park, Lenoir City Park and Lenoir City Area Recreation Complex. Visitors can boat, bike, fish, jog, grill, hike, and play volleyball and horseshoes. There are also four golf courses in Lenoir City. The southern entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is nearby.
