Nacogdoches is known as the oldest town in Texas due to its 10,000 year old Indian settlement history. Located near Lake Nacogdoches and close to the fork of two creeks, Nacogdoches has many fun outdoor pursuits. Enjoy Blount Park's gardens, hike in Lake Nacogdoches West Side Park or birdwatch in Pecan Park. The Best Western Inn in Nacogdoches is just a five minute drive from downtown and close to many of the city's parks.
