Pensacola can be found nestled along the Gulf Coast in Florida, between Orange Beach, Alabama and Fort Walton Beach. Three unique areas, Pensacola, Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key, provide visitors with 52 miles of shoreline and pristine waters. Guests can enjoy outdoor activities, such as swimming, sailing, deep-sea fishing, boating and scuba diving. The area is famous for attractions such as the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier, one of the longest piers in the entire Gulf of Mexico. There are also a number of other attractions which lure tourists to Pensacola.

Big Lagoon State Park

Big Lagoon State Park is a coastal state park which sits on the shores of Big Lagoon, separating the mainland from the Gulf of Mexico. The park features beaches, bays, nature trails, and open woodlands. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as camping, swimming, fishing, boating and hiking. Guests can also enjoy canoeing, or crabbing in the bay. Picnic areas are also available. The park is open from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year.

National Naval Aviation Museum

The National Naval Aviation Museum is one of the largest aviation museums in the world. It contains more than 150 restored aircrafts, hands-on exhibits and over 4,000 artifacts which represent the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard aviation. March through November, guests can watch the Blue Angels put on air shows and visitors can even take a ride in a motion-based air combat simulator. The facility also boasts an IMAX Theatre. A cafe is on-site and the museum also offers tours.

Adventures Unlimited

Located in nearby Milton just a few miles outside of Pensacola, Adventures Unlimited offers guests a wide variety of activities featuring adventures such as rope courses, kayaking, canoeing and tubing through fast moving streams. The facility also provides camping spaces with a variety of lodging options such as tents and cabins. Swimming and picnic areas are also available, and meals can even be catered.
