La Belle Epoque Cafe
Serving lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends, La Belle Epoque is the winner of Main Line Today Magazine's Critics Award for Best French Restaurant in 2006. The chef, a theater actor on the side, was born in the small village of Burgundy, France. His menu features escargot, hanger steak in shallot sauce, buckwheat crepes with wild mushroom and béchamel sauce and a classic Boeuf Bourguignon. There is a full bar, but if you bring your own bottle, a $10 corking fee will be applied. Reservations are recommended.

Nais
Nais is just to the northeast of Media in Havertown. The menu features artichoke and brie ravioli in a tomato and brandy cream sauce, and roast lamb topped with herbed honey mustard. Some items also show an Asian influence, like the sautéed chicken with baby corn, sweet peppers and pine nuts in a curry cream sauce. Zagat has called this restaurant a "gem" with "memorable meals" and "moderate prices" and the Philadelphia Inquirer's food critic declared he has "seldom found a restaurant meal as stunning." Reservations are required.
