Buca di Beppo

Buca di Beppo is an Italian restaurant that serves all its food family style, mimicking a fun, early-'30s-style Italian eatery, and the staff makes for a fun and festive atmosphere. Buca food comes in two sizes: small is for two people, and Buca large can serve up to six. Be prepared: the portions are large, and the meatballs are a half-pound and baseball-sized, so do not feel the need to order dozens. All of the expected Italian classics are here, but they also add special dishes like chicken saltimbocca, penne basilica, and shrimp fra diavolo. Dessert items like chocolate chip cannoli, tiramisu, and Chocolate Vesuvio will finish off a meal nicely. Kids' menu items include a drink and mini gelato cone. The restaurant serves beer and wine, as well as cordials and after dinner drinks. Pricing is in the moderate range, at around $16 to $30 in 2010.
