Motels in Bent Mountain, VA

Motels in Bent Mountain, VA
Bent Mountain, in the southwestern part of Virginia, is nestled in the lower elevations of the Blue Ridge Mountains, south of Roanoke. Travelers in this area might be driving up Bent Mountain Rd. as part of the Blue Ridge Wine Trail, which maps local wineries such as AmRhein winery, located on Bent Mountain. In addition, the state's MRV11 Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail starts right behind Bent Mountain Elementary School at the top of the mountain, affording a chance to see orioles, sparrows, swallows, Louisiana water thrush and red-winged blackbirds. Bent Mountain motels are not plentiful; you'll need to stay in nearby towns.

Bent Mountain Lodge Bed & Breakfast

This isn't a motel, but the beautiful lodge sits atop Bent Mountain and offers a majestic view overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway, which extends 100 miles south into North Carolina. Take in the view from one of the lodge's decks or sun rooms. Some suites have Jacuzzi tubs and private deck entrances. The lodge looks like a rustic mountain retreat, but offers modern updates, such as high-speed Internet and TVs. A full kitchen is available for catering events. (a fall wedding, perhaps?) Pets are welcome, but the lodge will charge a $25 a day fee. The lodge also has a dog run for large dogs and four horse stalls.
