Thimister, Belgium Hotels

Thimister, Belgium Hotels
Tucked in the eastern corner of Belgium, near the border with Germany and the Netherlands, lies the tiny town of Thimister. With just over 5,000 people, Thimister is often grouped with its sister city, Clermont. Thimister-Clermont has limited lodging, so many travelers stay in nearby Liege. Here in the province of Wallonia, you'll find plenty of kayaking, biking, hiking and geocaching opportunities along the Ourthe and Meuse Rivers.

Hotel Chateau Crawhez

Built in 1551, the Chateau Crawhez is a small property, with just 12 rooms and two suites. However, it is fully-equipped with flat-screen TVs, Internet access, and a soothing neutral decor. Take advantage of the workout facility, spa, sauna, terrace and sprawling outdoor park with its own brook and pond. The hotel offers two restaurants, one casual dining environment and a fine-dining restaurant, Le Chateau. The lounge bar offers apéritifs and nightcaps, complete with a piano that guests are welcome to play. Located in Clermont, next to Thimister, the Hotel Chateau Crawhez is ideally-situated for trips to nearby locations like Spa, Aachen and Maastricht.

Here you'll find the Ramada Plaza Liege City Center, a hotel housed in a former convent. On the banks of the Meuse River, in the city center, this hotel is within walking distance of shopping and dining. All 149 remodeled rooms have air conditioning, free Internet access and flat-screen TVs. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Ramada's on-site restaurant, in the building's original wing dating back to the 17th century. The hotel also includes a fitness center, laundry facilities, private parking and the John Cockerill bar.
