Located half way between Manhattan and Philadelphia, historic and beautiful Princeton, New Jersey is rich with culture, arts and restaurants. Princeton is home to Princeton University, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious ivy league schools. Nassau Street, the town's main avenue, is filled with cafes, eclectic shops and some of the best eateries in the area. The Underground Café

Looking for a new way to dine? At the Underground Café, guests can dine underground, literally. Diners step down into the decedent world of authentic Bulgarian cuisine right in their own back yard. The owner, chefs and staff at the Underground Café are all Bulgaria natives, offering a genuine experience to diners. The menu consists of many mouth-watering items, including a selection of crepes and casseroles that are very popular in Bulgaria. The entrees also include Bulgarian stuffed peppers and an array of chicken dishes. It is recommended to try the Bulgarian hot rock special, which entails guests cooking their own chicken, shrimp and more on a hot stone right at the table.

The Witherspoon Grill

The Witherspoon Grill is one of Mercer County's top steakhouses. The venue has received the 2008 "Wine Spectator" award of excellence. Guests enjoy grade-A meat for dinner in many cuts, including filet mignon, ribeye and strip. The restaurant also has some of the freshest seafood, with entrees, such as lobster risotto and sea scallops. Dessert is a must have at the Witherspoon Grill and includes favorite menu items, such as New York-style cheesecake and bananas foster. The menu also features a large beer and wine selection. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations may also be made through Opentable.

Triumph Brewing Company

The Triumph Brewing Company is a Princeton hot spot for live bands, great food and more. The restaurant is known for it's gigantic selection of beers on tap. Patrons can even schedule a tour to see where and how the beer is brewed. The dinner menu features savory entrées, ranging from steaks, to pastas to chicken. For a more casual bite, the restaurant also offers panini, cheese steaks and burgers. There are appetizers and sandwiches are available into the late night hours. These items can also be ordered as take-out. There is live music Thursdays through Saturdays.
