Ferrara's Restaurant

Ferrara's aims to bring "a taste of Italy" to its customers, serving authentic Italian favorites in a small restaurant with the ambiance of Old World Italy. Ferrara's makes its fresh bread and pasta sauce from scratch and offers specialty pizzas, calzones, eggplant parmesan, shrimp alfredo and other kinds of pasta. Many items are available in gluten-free varieties. Patrons receive a complimentary glass of wine with dinner. All dishes are less than $15 as of January 2010. Ferrara's is closed Mondays.

Quaker Steak & Lube

Quaker Steak & Lube is a unique, motor sports-themed restaurant known for its chicken wings. The Lube offers more than 20 distinctive wing flavors, including golden garlic, Louisiana lickers, Buckeye BBQ, pineapple rum sauce and Asian sesame. The restaurant has atomic wings so hot that before eating them, patrons must sign a release form. The diverse menu also features salads, steaks and ribs, most for less than $15 as of 2009. The Sharon Quaker Steak & Lube is the original location of a chain that has grown to 30-plus restaurants in more than a dozen states.

Billy's Black and Gold

As its name implies, Billy's Black and Gold is a bar/restaurant catering to Pittsburgh sports fans, whose professional teams all wear black and gold. Since 1988, fans have come to Billy's to enjoy the atmosphere. Patrons are surrounded by an 18-foot mural of Pittsburgh and memorabilia of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. The menu's basic pub fare is enhanced by the creative names given to the food items, most of which are named after famous Pittsburgh athletes, including Lambert's Lunatic Chicken Sandwich, Clemente's Club, Stargell's Steak Salad, Noll's Nachos and Crosby's Celery and Carrots. Billy's kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to midnight weekdays and until 1 a.m. weekends.
