Trail Runner Magazine rated Prescott "one of the seven top trail towns" in 2009. Willow and Watson lakes are close to each other. Both lakes offer hiking, kayaking, canoeing, picnicking and fishing. Lynx Lake has about 90,000 visitors a year and offers trout fishing and boating, with rentals available.

Prescott Log Cabin Bed and Breakfast, in the Granite Dells of Prescott, has four rustic guestrooms offering privacy and relaxation. Each has its own bath, mini-refrigerator, fireplace and outdoor hot tub. Hiking is nearby as well as Watson and Willow Lakes.

Guestrooms include Suite Solitude, Cozy Fireside, The Bird's Nest and Granny's Attic, each with a queen-size bed. Cozy Fireside and Bird's Nest each have a claw foot tub. Cozy Fireside has a shower as well. Suite Solitude has a patio, large bath with double sinks with queen bed under a skylight and a day bed with trundle. Coffee is served at 7 a.m. and breakfast follows at 8:30 a.m. You can bird watch from the deck.
