Motels in Sumner, FL
Perched on the northern tip of the Waccasassa Bay State Park, Sumner, Florida is an excellent launch point for a number of outdoor activities and excursions. These activities include boating, hiking, fishing, camping and bicycling in the wide swath of untamed wilderness bordering the Gulf of Mexico. Other area points of interest include the Ocala National Forest and scenic Horseshoe Beach. There are several solid accommodation options in the area, as well.

Pirates Cove

This decidedly kitsch Caribbean-themed getaway features seven private cottages that provide easy access to both bayou and bay activities. All cottages are equipped with cable television, air-conditioning, cooking utensils and shared use of the motel's gas grill and sundeck. While the area is tide-dependent for those wishing to fish, a canoe is available free of charge.
