Low Cost Hotels & Villas in Ubud, Bali
Ubud sits in the middle of the island of Bali. It is really a grouping of small villages making up Bali's major arts and culture center. Visitors have always been drawn to its beautiful rolling rice fields, its many small villages, its artistic creations and crafts, museums and galleries, ancient temples, palaces and serene rivers. The area offers relaxation in beautiful spas and swimming pools, as well as hiking and biking in Ubud's mountains. There are a multitude of attractive low-cost accommodations to choose from.

Taman Harum Cottages

Visitors to Taman Harum Cottages call this a quintessentially Balinese accommodation. TripAdvisor.com reports that the average one-night room price is US$50 to $65. The 17 air-conditioned and fan-equipped cottages are furnished in old world Balinese style and include original sculptures and paintings. Instead of brunch, a full complimentary breakfast is served. And the shuttle bus into town runs on guest requests rather than a schedule. The hotel has a swimming pool, a spa, and the town of Mas, where it is located, offers Balinese classes like batik painting, dancing, music and cooking. The hotel staff can also arrange golf, white-water rafting, bird-watching or trekking.
