Situated on 3.5 acres of land, the Cottonwood Motel is located nearby several natural attractions, including the Dutchess Tourism Bike Route, which is about 15 minutes away, and the Nellie Hill Preserve, which is just 12 miles away and consists of 144 acres of hiking trails, woods and ponds.

Guestrooms are equipped with cable TV, private bathroom, telephone, air conditioning and modem connections. Select rooms also have an in-room Jacuzzi and dining area. There is also a handicapped accessible room, as well as a suite that sleeps four to six people. There is also a cottage on the premises that sleeps four to six people and is a two-story structure with a fully-equipped kitchen.

The Millbrook Country House‎ is surrounded by colorful gardens, which boast daisies, daffodils, phlox, lilies and more. Common rooms of the facility include two parlor rooms and a dining room. Each of the four guestrooms is distinct: the Varigotti room has two twin beds and a large chest of drawers; the Luigi Filippo has a large antique queen-size bed; the Barocco room has a cushioned window seat; and the Chiavari room boasts a wrought iron bed.

The Millbrook Country House is a few minutes from fly-fishing at the Orvis Sandanona complex and the James Baird State Park, where visits can enjoy wildlife viewing and hiking.
