The Riviera Hotel and Casino is an "old Vegas" resort, located three miles from downtown Las Vegas on the north end of the strip. Featuring an outdoor pool and tennis courts in addition to the fitness center, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a women's sauna and a men's steam room, the Riviera is a destination suited for the outdoor lover. Movie buffs will recognize the Riviera from the Scorsese movie "Casino." Restaurants include a 24-hour coffee shop, a classic American steakhouse, and a five-station all-you-can-eat buffet.

Kristofer's Steakhouse

Offering charbroiled steaks and fresh seafood, Kristofer's Steakhouse's menu is prix-fixe. The rattan club chairs, parquet wood and copper-inlay tables and brass and tulip ceiling fans create a Mediterranean atmosphere. Starters include shrimp scampi in garlic and white wine, also offered as an entree. Other entrees include charbroiled cedar plank salmon, double-rib spring lamb chops, Midwestern aged prime rib and lobster tail with petite filet mignon. Fresh fish, blackened Cajun-style chicken and other daily specials are available. All main courses come with a beefsteak tomato and onion vinaigrette or Caesar salad, homemade bread warm from the oven, or white chocolate macadamia nut bread. Dessert options include Bailey's Irish Cream frozen souffle, bananas foster or New York style cheesecake.

Kady's Coffee Shop

Open 24 hours a day, Kady's Coffee Shop offers a panoramic view of the pool and serves steaks, pasta, a large selection of low-carbohydrate dishes, and traditional American fare. Breakfast items include eggs, bacon, sausage and ham, and dinner choices include broiled lemon chicken, grilled fillet of salmon, and T-bone steak. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.

World's Fare Buffet

The World's Fare Buffet features American, Mexican, Chinese, Barbecue and Italian food stations and offers heart-healthy and children's options. The American Station serves mac and cheese, fried chicken and Salisbury steak. The Mexican Station offers tamales, cheese enchiladas and fajitas. Find egg rolls, lo mein and chicken dishes at the Chinese Station, and meatballs marinara, cooked-to-order pastas, pizza and lamb chops in Marsala wine sauce at the Italian Station. The centerpiece of the room is the dessert display. A traditional carving station is available. Champagne buffets are offered on the weekend.

Other Options

Other options for dining at the Riviera include the Mardi Gras Food Court with a variety of fast food options, and the Grande Snack Bar serving smoothies, pastries and salads. The Sports Book Bar and Grille features wings and things as you watch sports books on 50 flat-screen televisions, and Jitters Gourmet Coffee serves coffee and pastries 24 hours a day.
