Smyrna is a small town 12 miles from the Delaware state capital of Dover. Many points of interest are in the area including Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Most of the facility's nearly 16,000 acres is tidal salt marsh and includes 1,100 acres of brushy and timbered swamps and freshwater pools. Visitors can enjoy bird-watching, explore five nature trails and hunt for small game, turkey, deer and waterfowl. Smyrna has several area hotels to make your stay more comfortable.
