Once a logging town, Oakridge is now a launching spot for recreational activities or simply a fantastic place to enjoy Oregon's great outdoors. Oakridge is the center of Oregon recreation and the mountain biking capital of the Northwest, according to the Oakridge Chamber of Commerce. Oakridge is located on highway 58 approximately 40 miles west of Eugene, Oregon and is adjacent to national forest lands. Willamette Pass ski area is approximately 30 miles to the east on highway 58. There are several places to stay while you're in the Oakridge area.

Oakridge Motel

The Oakridge Motel has cozy, inexpensive rooms ($45 and up) with a log cabin feel. Owners Skip and Vivian Erickson bought the place early in the last decade and spent four years restoring the motel, earning a Business of the Year award in 2005. One two-room suite with a jetted tub is available, and the owners frequently offer guests complimentary home baked cookies and snacks.

Bluewolf Motel
