Located in scenic southern Oklahoma, Frederick is central to three of the most popular recreation areas in the state. Frederick is just south of Quartz Mountain State Park, Great Plains State Park and the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Preserve. All three spots have camping, hiking and some mountaineering activities available. The Wichita Mountains are prime spots for animal watchers and birders, who can take in the wild herd of bison. Frederick has a few local hotel options.

Scottish Inn

The top choice for hotels in Frederick, the Scottish Inn has the city's only outdoor pool. Room choices include either a king-size or queen-size bed. Some rooms have a couch included. Free cable TV and Wi-Fi are available, along with mini-fridges and coffee makers. Rooms are pet-friendly. While the Scottish Inn doesn't have a continental breakfast option, there is an attached restaurant on-site for dining.

North Fork Bed and Breakfast

The North Fork Bed and Breakfast is a large, western-decorated home with five bedrooms and two bunk beds available to guests. The main room, where breakfast is served each morning, is dominated by a large stone fireplace and a wagon-wheel chandelier. The master suite has a king- size bed and its own bathroom. Four other bedrooms share a bathroom. A new outdoor kitchen and dining area allows guests to eat while enjoying the scenic country views.
