Although there are several sports teams that wear the name, "Tampa Bay" there is no actual city of Tampa Bay in Florida. The Tampa Bay area, a large estuary on the west central coast of Florida is comprised of the cities of Hillsborough Bay, Old Tampa Bay, Middle Tampa Bay and Lower Tampa Bay. Anglers will find fishing in the bay excellent with grouper, snapper and kingfish off shore and redfish, snook and trout inshore. Hikers will enjoy nearby Weedon Island Preserve trail that offers a three-mile hike through a mangrove marsh wildlife habitat.

The Westin Tampa Bay

While there are several hotels in the bay, only a few offer beachfront locations. The Westin Tampa Bay's offers both incredible views and a 16-story sanctuary resort with a private beach area. Tastefully designed rooms or suites offer high-speed Internet access, flat-screen TV, a fully-stocked refreshment center, and in-room movies. The Westin was one of the innovators in the recent trend toward comfortable bedding. Thick duvet covers and their signature "heavenly bed", offer comfortable sleeping arrangements.
