A favorite home base for backpackers, day hikers, fishermen and women and other outdoor enthusiasts, Gatlinburg is in the middle of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park has more than 700 miles of streams for fishing and more than 800 miles of trails. Favorite activities include cycling historic Cades Cove and hiking the park's stretch of the Appalachian Trail.

Maples Cottage

A short walk from downtown Gatlinburg, this romantic cabin has two king bedrooms. Other couple-friendly touches include a fireplace in the living room and a hot tub on the patio. The cabin has a full kitchen and dining room or guests can pick up packed lunches at the Sidney James Mountain Lodge. The cottage is less than two miles from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Mountain Views Cabin

This two king-bedroom cabin's main features are its privacy and its romantic view. Mountain Views cabin is a short walk downhill to Gatlinburg. The two bedrooms have antique furniture and Jacuzzi tubs. The cabin also features a full kitchen and televisions, but is tailored for that private getaway with no phones or Internet access.

Skinny Dippin 261 is located 500 feet from the Little Pigeon River. The cabin has a large balcony with a river view and an indoor pool and hot tub for romantic adventures. Other amenities include a full kitchen, gas grill, fireplace and washer/dryer. The cabin has two bedrooms and two and one-half bathrooms.
