The city of Puyallup, Washington, is perhaps best known for hosting the annual, monthlong Puyallup Fair in September, but there's more going on here the rest of the year. The city's fairgrounds host rodeos, motorcycle races and a spring fair as well. There are many parks that offer hiking and recreation opportunities, including a large skate park and a trail along the Puyallup River. Puyallup is also a good jumping-off point for visiting Mount Rainier. Hotels in Puyallup make an ideal base camp for exploring the region.

Crossland Economy Studios

Crossland Economy Studios is a hotel that offers extended-stay rooms. You can easily book a hotel room here for a day or less than a week, but rates are designed to reward those who stay at least a week. The rooms are designed like small studio apartments, with kitchens that include a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishes and utensils. Separate work areas are part of the layout and voice mail and Internet access are available.
