Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest spans more than 1,000 forested acres only 30 minutes north from Lexington, Mass. Outdoor enthusiasts can use six miles of maintained multi-use trails in this state forest for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. According to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, "It is the probable site of a Native American village prior to colonial settlement."
