Sleightsburgh Park

Open from dawn to dusk, Sleightsburgh Park is a unique piece of land that juts out into Rondout Creek. Perfect for boating, fishing and/or sailing, land lovers can also enjoy this peninsula, which consists of 79 protected acres of land. Wooded portions of Sleightsburgh Park contains trails that are good for hiking, bird-watching and catching spectacular glimpses of the nearby Kingston Lighthouse.

Saunderskill Farms

Situated in Ulster County, and the town of Accord in particular, Saunderskill Farms offers visitors an opportunity to while away an afternoon perusing through very fresh produce, meandering through the greenhouse to check out the perennials, hanging plants and annuals available or taking one of the many gardening classes available on-site. There are a vast array of "u-pick" opportunities at Saunderskill Farms, including choosing your own pumpkin in September and October and strawberry picking, which begins in early June.

Glorie Farm Winery

California may be known as wine country in the U.S., but Ulster County has its share of reputable wineries, offering tourists to the area an opportunity to tour facilities and taste some of the vino that originates from this area of the country. The Glorie Farm Winery provides an opportunity to stop by its tasting room, where a variety of wines may be sampled, including Seyval Blanc, Sully's Cinnful Pearple, Peach Wine and more. There is also a fresh fruit farm next door, for an additional opportunity to take home an edible piece of Ulster County in a basket.
