Metropol Fine Dining
Metropol Fine Dining is housed in a 19th century post office building in Lexington's Historic District. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Hard woods and exposed brick lend a charming atmosphere to this fine dining restaurant. The menu includes filet mignon with Bordelaise sauce, Chilean sea bass, veal provencale and seafood fettuccini. Guests can also choose from numerous appetizers such as escargot, smoked salmon carpaccio, baked bay scallops and steak and shrimp. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list which features a variety of domestic and imported selections. Metropol Fine Dining is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. Reservations are encouraged.

Bellini's
The old Skuller building in downtown Lexington offers an old world charm that makes Bellini's a popular spot for a romantic dinner. This restaurant serves classic Italian cuisine and boasts an extensive wine list. Appetizers include steamed mussels, Portobello mushrooms with mozzarella cheese, calamari and bruschetta. There are several pasta entrees on the menu, such as seafood linguini, four cheese ravioli and mushroom risotto. Other entrée choices include grilled beef tenderloin, chicken marsala, veal piccata and New Zealand rack of lamb. Bellini's serves dinner nightly, and lunch Monday through Friday. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano
Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano was voted the best "date restaurant" for 2007 in the Lexington Reader-Herald's Reader's Choice Poll. The menu features a long list of appetizers, including fried artichoke hearts, crab cakes with aioli, fried calamari and stuffed mushroom caps. Signature entrees include roasted pork tenderloin marinated in Dijon mustard, eggplant parmigiana and chicken stuffed pasta shells. The menu also offers numerous other entrees such as gnocchi, manicotti, shrimp scampi and Angus rib-eye. Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano is open for dinner 7 nights a week, and serves lunch Monday through Friday. The bar features live jazz music Wednesday through Saturday. Reservations are encouraged.
