Each room offers a distinct style and ambiance, though all are focused on providing their visitors with an elegant experience. The Loft and Garden Rooms are outfitted in rich hues of burgundy and navy, accented by dark wood furnishings and crisp white tablecloths. There, diners enjoy up-scale New-American cuisine that is focused on seasonality and providing high-end ingredients that speak for themselves. Homestead Rest

Nestled in a charming country house, The Homestead Rest is a carnivore's fantasy come-to-life. Pale yellow walls and wood furnishings provide for a casual backdrop for this no-nonsense, meat and potatoes place. The burgers here are legendary and come in no less than 10 varieties, all served alongside homemade chips. There are five cuts of steak, all of which come with the option to "cowboy up, " meaning a generous slathering of the restaurant's famous spice rub. If you're feeling up for the challenge, eating a 2-pound burger within 45 minutes gets your name in the Homestead Hall of Fame Album, along with a T-shirt, and, of course, bragging rights.

Black Forest Inn serves comfort food, German-style, from its quaint, wood-paneled dining room. The room is dark, with plush burgundy seating, rich carpeting and a long row of leather bar stools. The seasonal menu includes schnitzels and sauerbraten, along with smoked fish, plenty of seafood selections as well as occasional influences of Italian and French cuisine. Friday nights are buffet service, and an excellent value for a few trips to cold, hot, carving and dessert stations.
