Motels in Haydenville, MA
Located about 10 miles west of Northampton, Mass., Haydenville has few places to stay within the town itself. Haydenville is a tiny village along the Mill River within the town of Williamsburg. This modest village has few businesses but is quaint and honors its heritage of mill work. According to Massachusetts historian Joe Manning, in the mid-1800's many factories were built along the river and reservoirs were placed upstream to store water to power those mills. In 1874, one of the dams broke, wiping out most of the town and killing 140 people. Most visitors to Haydenville stay in nearby Northampton.
