RV Campsites Near Thomaston, Georgia
Thomaston is located less than an hour away from some of Georgia's largest cities, including Atlanta and Columbus. Upson County, of which Thomaston is a part, is famous for its many outdoor activities. Sprewell Bluff State Park offers opportunities for hiking and canoeing, while the Callaway Gardens offer a more structured outdoor venture for those who would like to picnic or stroll for a few hours.

Ramsey Mobile Home and RV Park

This 30-site campground offers the basic water, electric and sewer connection but lacks other conveniences such as cable, Internet access or public phones. Pets are allowed, and the campground is family-friendly. There's a pool and a game room within the campground. There is no waterfront access, but all sites have at least partial shade. Ramsey RV Campground is less than 50 minutes away from Thomaston.

Heart of Georgia RV Park

This RV park has 33 sites, all with full hookups, Wi-Fi and free cable TV. All sites look towards the water, as there are several lakes within the campground. Sites vary in amenities, with some having concrete patios and others offering picnic tables or shade. Fire rings are available in all sites. The campground is open year-round, and pets are allowed. This campground is the closest of all three, with a drive of just over 20 minutes to Thomaston.

High Falls Campground

This large campground offers 75 sites, all with full hookups and shade. There is no Internet connection and no cable TV reception. There are no phones either, so bring your cell phone if you anticipate having to make some calls while there. A pool is available, and pets are allowed. A convenience store within the campground offers all needed supplies. High Falls is half an hour away from Thomaston.
