Cabins in Soldotna, Alaska

Cabins in Soldotna, Alaska
Soldotna prides itself on having some of the world's best salmon fishing. Anglers visiting Alaska can access the Kenai River in town without having to charter a bush plane into the wilderness. Located 145 miles by road south of Anchorage, Kenai provides lodging options including cabins and can serve as a base for explorations into either Seward or Homer, two of Alaska's most colorful fishing centers. You can try your luck on catching an 80-pound king or just walk the fisherwalks installed to protect the riverbank.

April's Cozy Cabins

You might have to share the natural surroundings with a moose or two during your stay here by the banks of the West Mackey Lake. "You never know when one will be waiting right outside your door," April's website notes. These new, modern cabins feature satellite TV and microwaves. The Lake Cabin sleeps four people, with a master bedroom downstairs with a king-size bed, and an upstairs loft with two twin-size beds. The deck overlooks the lake with a gas barbecue grill for you to grill your salmon catch. The bathroom has a full shower and fresh linens are provided daily. The Woods Cabin can sleep up to four, with two bedrooms with either a king-size bed or two twin-size beds. Bathrooms for both cabins feature a full shower, and the owners provide fresh linens daily. Both cabins also provide decks with gas barbecue grills.
