Italian Restaurants in Exton, Pennsylvania
Exton is a Philadelphia suburb located among the Chester Valley Golf Course, Downingtown Inn Golf Course and Marsh Creek State Park. The park is great for fishing, boating, windsurfing, horseback riding and hiking. There are different kinds of bikes and boats (kayaks, canoes, paddle boats) available for rent and a water sports shop to buy your gear. The park has a swimming pool for use during the summer months and provides swimming, kayaking and windsurfing lessons to individuals or groups. Even a windsurfing regatta is put on every September. The park also gives lake tours on a pontoon boat that seats 12, which highlights the historical and environmental aspects of the lake. If you're hankering for some Italian comfort food after a day on the lake, try one of Exton's Italian eateries.

Allegria Italian Restaurant

The Philadelphia Inquirer described the taste of Allegria authentic enough to "transport you back to Italy." The lunch menu features ravioli ricotta sautéed in brown butter with walnuts and sage as well as veal medallions topped with eggplant and fontina. For dinner, a highlight is the crostini with sauted escarole, shrimp and cannelloni beans, lobster ravioli, and veal with pine nuts and raisins in a Madeira wine sauce. Reservations are recommended and customers may bring their own wine without a corkage fee.
