Five hours from the airport in Montego Bay, Portland is one of Jamaica's 14 parishes and is famous for providing the inspiration for Robin Moore's "The French Connection," the setting of many Hollywood movies and the vacation spot for celebrities such as Errol Flynn, Rudyard Kipling and Ginger Rogers. The town of Port Antonio is the capital of Portland and has retained its old-world charm and natural pristine rivers, waterfalls, springs and palm-fringed beaches, blue lagoons and coves.

Frenchman's Cove Resort

Located on a 45-acre private estate in San Antonio, this resort is popular for honeymoons, weddings, vacations and retreats. The Cove has a Great House with 12 rooms/suites and 17 one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas secluded among cliffs with lush tropical vegetation on opposite banks of a fresh-water stream that flows to the Frenchman's Cove and picturesque white sandy beach.
