Visitors to the area enjoy putting their ability to the test on the fitness course at Jaycee's Park or going canoeing or hiking at Oakwood Park. The area is also home to a variety of restaurants.

Prestige Diner

The Prestige Diner offers a quaint and old-fashioned dining experience. The restaurant features a stone and wood facade with a gabled roof. The interior offers classic diner charm with spacious tables and cozy booths throughout the dining area. There is an incredibly extensive menu of more than 200 options. Diners can select from breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, including sandwiches, salads, and an assortment of beef, chicken and seafood options. The Prestige Diner is economically priced and family friendly. Hours vary seasonally.

Tables For Two

The Tables For Two restaurant specializes in fresh panini sandwiches. The restaurant features a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with Italian accents and charming, diner-inspired touches throughout the eating area. Breakfast options include eggs and buttered croissants. The menu features an eclectic mix of the restaurant's signature paninis, including a turkey BLT with American cheese and grilled chicken with prosciutto and Asiago cheese. Tables For Two also offers an assortment of classic Italian desserts and coffee specialties. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Aquila Ristorante

The Aquila Ristorante serves classic Italian favorites to New Providence patrons. The restaurant features a full brick exterior with large picture windows in the front. The interior features dark woods, white tablecloths and artificial flower accents. Diners can select from lunch and dinner menus loaded with Italian classics. A three-course prix fixe menu is also available which allows diners to select from an assortment of appetizers, entrees and desserts at one price. Aquila offers two private dining rooms, the Verona room, which can accommodate 60 people, and the Sun room, which can fit up to 50 individuals. Those planning large events can rent the entire restaurant. An off-site catering menu is also available. Hours for lunch are noon to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and for dinner are 5 to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
